The Lending Library Membership Agreement
Checking out Lending Library materials
1. A Friend of the Resource Place membership is required to check materials out of the Lending Library. Legally operating child care centers and family day care home licensees may apply for a free membership funded by the Alabama Department of Human Resources Child Care Division. A copy of your current license or exempt status must be presented to apply for free membership.
2. All patrons are required to come in to select and borrow materials. (We don't ship items to you.)
3. A total of ten (10) items may be borrowed for thrity (30) days. Training videos are limited to borrowing up to three (3) per visit for seven (7) days.
4.Two receipts of borrowed materials will be printed at the time of check-out. Patrons will be required to verify that the materials are accurately recorded and sign receipt for our records.
Returning materials
Please bring your receipt of borrowed materials when returning them.
Materials may be dropped off at the the Lending Library desk, but please wait while a staff member checks items you are returning.
Early return of items is always appreciated!
Make an appointment for special assistance (technical assistance to child care providers)
Please contact the Resource Place in advance of your visit at 251-473-1060 ext. 101 to ensure a staff member will be able to assist you with your needs.
The Resource Place is open Monday-Thursday, 9am-5pm, Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm, and the first Saturday of every month from 9:00am-12:00pm.
If you have a topic to research, or would like to request a technical assistance consultation, let us know when you call. We can pull materials to get you started with advanced warning.
If you need to cancel your visit, please let us know!
If you intend to use the laminating machine during your visit, please call in advance, and we can ensure it is warm and ready to go. The machine takes about 20 minutes to be properky heated.
